Virtual camps will keep kids entertained (and learning) this summer

Or are you looking for something fun for your child to do this summer closer to home? Several NH organizations are offering virtual summer camp experiences in 2020. Check out the list where you’ll find camps for all ages and interests.

Educational Farm at Joppa Hill
Description: EFJH is offering camp at home kits, which are filled with the supplies you need to complete the activities included in the full color workbook. Four weeks of carefully curated activities to learn and engage your children in farm life include Down on the Farm, We Can Fly!, Hoof it to the Farm and Pigs, Bunnies & Pond.

Camp ChaD
Description: Free online programming on topics including arts & crafts, movement and STEM will be emailed out for our virtual campers to enjoy. Campers will receive weekday emails with two to three new virtual classes to check out.
When: July 6-Aug. 21, 2020

Nashua Community Music School
Description: Each of the music school’s virtual summer camps will provide campers with the opportunity to connect with camp directors, and reconnect at the end of the day to show off their hard work and socialize with other campers. Weeks are themed and vary by age.
When: July and August 2020

Children’s Museum of NH
Description: The museum is offering summer camp activity kits for families to do at home. The kits include 25 hands-on activities with instructions, a calendar with additional activity ideas, and most of the materials needed to complete each project. For ages 4-10.

iD Tech Camp
Description: Virtual Tech Camps help kids sharpen STEM skills and bond with new friends, all online from the comfort of home, with high-quality remote instruction. For ages 7 and older.

LetGoYourMind STEM Programs
Description: This year, LetGoYourMind is offering virtual programs including Wacky Motorized LEGO Home Kit and Minecraft Game Design Master.

UNH Summer Youth Programs
Description: From art to science, several summer programs have become remote learning options this year at UNH. For the virtual UNH tech camp offered by the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, click here.

Creative Arts at Keene (C.A.K.E.) Camp
Description: Take a virtual adventure this summer through the arts. Campers explore the arts by choosing their own classes in art, creative writing, dance, theater, music, photography and video production. For grades 3-12

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains
Description: The Girl Scouts are offering a few different summer camp experiences including Day Camp at Home and the Camp Farnsworth Virtual Campout.

Renaissance Kids
Description: Renaissance Kids believes in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Choose from several virtual mini-camps including engineering and design and animation. For ages 7-12.

McAuliffe-Sherpard Discovery Center S.T.E.M. Camps
Description: Each of the Discover Center’s one-week virtual STEM summer camps can be completed entirely from home by the camper. Sessions are broken down by age and interest.

Strawbery Banke
Description: Strawbery Banke introduces Summer Camps at a Distance. Each camp week will provide opportunities for kids to meet and learn from our talented camp staff using Zoom. Every participant will receive a kit containing materials needed to engage in several hands-on activities and interactive experiences. For ages 8-17. Sessions broken down by age and theme.
When: July and August 2020

Currier Museum’s Summer Vacation Art Camps
The online summer program provides instruction in the form of themed art camps for children age 6-10, meeting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings; three-session weekly Intensives for middle-schoolers, teens and adults; once-weekly art classes for children, teens and adults; and teen and adult Art in the Evening classes. All are inspired by the Currier’s permanent collection and special exhibitions, current events and our community.

Manchester Community Music School
Description: MCMS is offering online music camps and online lessons. The Music Exploration Camp, with sessions offered by grade level, is a fun week of making instruments, playing musical games and learning a musical vocabulary.
