Virtual commencement

Celebrating with the Avett Brothers, Tom Nook, others

As seniors everywhere continue to wonder what the end of their high school career is going to look like, the founders of Life is Good have put together an alternative Ligcelebration with a message: stay strong and celebrate.

Tell us: How would you like to see graduation observed this year?

Here at the Dad on Bored household, we’ve got an Animal Crossing islander who’s preparing to graduate. As we wait for details, it’s the best she can do.

Turnips for everyone!

Her school doesn’t have any concrete plans quite yet – and who can blame them? – but they are targeting a mid-to late July graduation. In the meantime, we’ve started a rather protracted recognition of the rite of passage.

In the meantime, however, we’ll likely check out the Life is Good commencement.

“Recently, when we learned that the class of 2020 would be separated from each other for their final semesters, graduation ceremonies and well-deserved parties, we decided maybe they could use a few new friends, a few good laughs, some uplifting, artistic inspiration,” Bert Jacobs said. “This unique, homemade commencement celebration is for you class of 2020. After all, you are ‘virtually the The Greatest Class of All Time!”
