Located in southern New Hampshire, Wildwood is a one-of-a-kind camp for youth ages 6–17.
Wildwood is a special place where campers come together to discover the natural world; take a break from busy schedules, video games, cell phones, and the distractions of everyday life; and get outside to do what kids do best—have fun!
Our campers roast s’mores over open fires, sleep under the stars, sing silly songs, paddle around Hubbard Pond, and fall in love with nature each day. Campers have fun as they explore the outdoors, make friends, and develop self-confidence and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
Campers learn that they can master challenges and have the power to make a difference in the world.
Programs for all ages!
Wildwood offers a day camp program for campers ages 6 – 11. If you are interested in overnight camp we have a half week program for campers 7-8 that can come and try out camp, we also have both one- and two-week programs available for campers 8 – 14. For our teens we have three options: Teen adventure trips, Environmental Leadership Program and out Counselor-in-Training.
Nature Groups happen every morning and during this time our campers are empowered to discover field, forest, and wetland habitats and the intriguing behaviors of birds, insects, mammals, invertebrates and more through hands on investigation.
All about choice
Wildwood is all about choice. Every afternoon our campers have the opportunity to choose how they want to spend their day. Campers can dive into topics like natural history, arts & crafts, high ropes, sailing, improv games, wacky science and so much more!
Wildwood’s dining hall serves three meals daily and offers a variety of choices at each meal. Most meals are served family-style. Example meals include eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, turkey dinner, and spaghetti with meatballs, with additional choices at the salad bar. Snacks are generally available mid-afternoon and occasionally as part of an evening program. Our camp is proudly nut-free! Our kitchen is able to accommodate specific dietary needs including those of campers who follow vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets (and more!).
At Mass Audubon, we believe in leading by example and are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint across our network of sanctuaries, including Wildwood. All of our lightbulbs have been replaced with LED bulbs. All hot water heaters have been replaced with tankless water heaters. We have onsite composting and an onsite garden that we harvest for our salad bar in the dining hall. Our showers are heated with a solar thermal system. We also have composting toilets in the shower house. This is just part of it!
