Grotonwood Camp & Conference Center
Nestled in the heart of Groton Massachusetts amongst 247 acres of private woodlands and a quarter mile waterfront on Lost Lake, Grotonwood is a treasure trove of traditional outdoor fun and recreation. We’re a christian day & sleep-away camp serving grades K-12, and adults with disabilities. Our activities are varied and include Segways, low and high ropes, crafts, chapel, swim-time, team games, Laser tag, talent shows, archery, scavenger hunts, outdoor survival and Drums Alive to name a few!

We’re a welcoming traditional Christian Camp
Established in 1956, Grotonwood is owned by the American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts. We celebrate Christ in a fun and engaging way. Providing opportunity for faith exploration and fellowship. Campers from all backgrounds are welcome!
We’re situated on Lost Lake in Groton, Massachusetts
We enjoy swimming at our private beach and participate in boating and waterfront activities that include Kayaking, Paddle Boating, Canoeing, beach parties and Pontoon Boat rides.
Fluffy, Feathery and Buzzzy!
The camp has two peacocks, Lord Aquila Adoniram and Lady Priscilla Hasseltine. Other creatures include, Alpine, the Pomeranian and Maddy the maintenance & facilities guy’s GSP! The camp also boasts two bee hives – we hope to provide beekeeping classes in 2021.
What are the ages of your programs?
Day camp Alpha: K-5 // Day Camp Omega: Grades 5-8 // Overnight camp: Grades 2-11.
Do you cater to allergies and food restrictions?
Yes we do! We are able to cater for gluten and locto-free diets, vegetarians, vegans, kosher and food born allergies such as nut, egg, seafood, fish and citrus.
Does your Day camp program include meals?
Our day camp sessions include a hot lunch (plus salad bar), an afternoon snack and even, a daily swim block!
What are the check in/out times for overnight camp?
Sunday Check in: 2-4pm // Friday Check out: 6-7pm
How long does your Day Camp run?
M-F 8:30am to 5PM – breakfast and dinner club options available for $10 extra per day each.
What if my child is homesick?
We are able to work with families who are not sure about their child’s readiness for camp. There are several things that can be done to minimize the impact of homesickness, such as daily emails, care packages and camper mail.
