Let’s take the kids to Shanghai

Take a tour of the first reopened Disney theme park

Shanghai Disneyland has reopened after a three and a half month closure following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Here’s a short clip of this morning’s reopening.

Since it’s unlikely any of us will be traveling there anytime soon, a virtual visit is the only way we’ll be able to experience the newest of Disney’s theme parks.

As you’ll see, it’s a beautiful space – immersive, immaculately manicured, colorful and, well, pretty large. The castle alone seems to dwarf any of the others. (The Enchanted Storybook Castle, at 197 feet tall, is the largest, and eight feet taller than Cinderella Castle in Florida.)

But see for yourself. This 85 minute walking tour was shot before the shutdown and today’s reopening.

Here – have a Shanghai walkabout.
