Those who can't go on vacation transport themselves during quarantine
Any other year, we’d be getting ready to head off on April vacation in a couple weeks. Obviously, that’s not going to happen.
On any other normal annual spring getaway, our family (and many others) try to run off to Walt Disney World for a few days – not a shock to anyone who has followed along for any length of time. In a way, it’s a rite of passage. You have kids, you take them to Disney.
Just not this year.
The quarantine isn’t stopping other WDW-loving families from experiencing their favorite attractions. Since the vacation kingdom is closed for the foreseeable future, families have taken to recreating their favorite experiences in their own homes.
Some are amazingly creative. Others are… Interesting. But all of them show an ingenuity and dedication to making the best of a difficult situation. Dad on Bored salutes these awesomely obsessed parents.
The proof that these attempts at virtual vacations are a success is fairly obvious by the reaction on the “guests” faces.
Here’s a collection of homemade Walt Disney World attractions.
