Our Squam Speaker Series is held once a month on Wednesday evenings. The Importance of Local Agriculture & Food Prodcution to the Community & Environment is the second of our SPRING INTO ACTION series focused on inspiring people to take action to help the environment.

John Moulton from Moulton Farm will share his wealth of knowledge from over 40 years of farming to exemplify how modern farms can use practices that are both “good business” as well as “environmentally responsible.”

During this presentation John will focus on his experience in farming and the trends he has observed in New Hampshire agriculture over the past 40 years. Learn how proper soil management can improve production and how it benefits the natural world. See how Moulton Farm has carefully managed their crops from nutrients, water, genetic variety, to controlled environments. John will also explore how local farms impact the economy and community. Join us to learn about how going local is good on many different levels! Local Foods Plymouth will also be present if people are interested in finding out more about their on-line local foods & marketplace.
