The Grazing Room, which is certified local by the New Hampshire Farm-to-Restaurant Connection, is located at the charming Colby Hill Inn. The special Easter supper is a three-course, prix-fixe menu with choices such as asparagus salad with shaved pickled red beet eggs, Greek-style roast leg of lamb, rabbit potpie, day boat scallops with sweet pea risotto and more. The Foundry’s regular Sunday Riverside Brunch changes slightly depending on the season, but most weeks you can expect the buffet to include a custom omelet station, local meats, handmade pastries, fresh oysters, Belgian waffles, shrimp cocktail, hand-carved roasts and much more.

This isn’t your typical steak house. At Gauchos, servers continuously walk around the dining room with skewers of rotisserie meat. Enjoy their Sunday brunch buffet, featuring a market table of fresh salads, a breakfast buffet chock-full of pastries and, of course, skewered meats galore.

Another Best of NH Editor’s Pick, this historic location is a beautiful place to enjoy brunch — not to mention that the food is outstanding. Find traditional breakfast items, a cooked-to-order omelet station and freshly sliced North Country Smokehouse applewood-smoked ham, among many other items like quiche, coffee cake, potatoes and more.

Pickity Place

History runs deep at this charming restaurant located in the 1786 red house that inspired the illustrations for Elizabeth Orton Jones’ Little Golden Book version of “Little Red Riding Hood.” With three seatings, reservations are required and should be made well in advance. The seasonal menu, which changes monthly, includes a dip, soup, salad, bread, two entrée choices and a dessert.  If you have time, walk around the lovely grounds that include a gift shop, gardens and a greenhouse filled with a huge selection of herbs (you’ll find some of those herbs incorporated into the seasonal dishes).
