In a few short days, the kids will be out of school and summer fun will be in full swing. Make this the summer that you check everything off your bucket list, including: exploring our beautiful state parks, swimming in a local lake and hitting the bike trails with your kids.

Here are the top 10 events happening in New Hampshire this month:

JUNE 1-3: FOOD TRUCKS FOR CASA IN MANCHESTER

Food Trucks for CASA is returning to McIntyre Ski Area and you this is one delicious event that you won't want to miss. Bring your friends and family and spend the day trying cuisine from around the world – all made locally! World-class barbecue will be featured alongside award-winning cupcakes, fair food, and ethnic cuisine. Vegetarian or vegan foodies will find several food trucks with a selection of healthy choices. Family fun and entertainment. Admission is $5 for ages 12 and up; all proceeds benefit CASA of NH.

JUNE 2: KIRKWOOD GARDENS DAY IN HOLDERNESS

Kirkwood Gardens Day is the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center's annual garden and plant sale. In addition to locally grown annuals, perennials and herbs for sale, there are also garden-related vendors, experts on hand to offer gardening advice, a silent auction and more. While you're there, make sure you explore the trails and visit with the animals who call the Science Center home. Please note: admission to Kirkwood Gardens is (always) free of charge but you will need to pay Science Center admission fees.

JUNE 2: 6TH ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY DAY IN KENSINGTON

The Farm at Eastman's Corner in Kensington is definitely one of the state's hidden gems and our favorite spots. There you'll find animals, a farm market filled with locally grown produce as well as events and classes. For its Annual Block Party Day, The Farm opens its doors and welcomes everyone to a day of free family fun. There's live music, a dunk tank, face painting, children's activities and cooking demonstrations.

JUNE 2: FREE FISHING DAY IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

With hundreds of ponds, lakes, rivers and coastal and estuarine waters, the Granite State is a natural lure for anglers from all over. Want to introduce your family to this beloved sport? Check out NH Fish and Game's Free Fishing Day on Saturday, July 3. Kids under 16 always fish free, so this day is really a treat for parents and older siblings.

JUNE 10: KIDS CON NEW ENGLAND IN NASHUA

Do your kids like comic books, Star Wars, Jedi training, coloring and drawing, balloon artists, pirates and princesses? If so, this is a must-attend event. This event, held at the Radisson in Nashua, promotes art education and literacy through comics and is fun for the whole family. Tickets are $10 for kids 5-17 and $12 for adults. Oh, and costumes are highly encouraged, so dust off your superhero masks and princess gowns.

JUNE 14: BEST OF NH PARTY IN MANCHESTER

Okay, so it's no secret that the Best of NH Party is put on by New Hampshire Magazine, our sister publication and office roomies. What you need to know is that this isn't a pity addition to our list; this event really is the BEST. Here's what we suggest: get a sitter, grab your spouse and attend this event as a mid-week date night. With more than 65 booths sampling food, cocktails, beer, wine and dessert, you will leave stuffed and satisfied. There's also live music, entertainment and comedian Jimmy Dunn will be making an appearance. The event is held at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, so on your way out you can always pick up some tickets at the box office and come back another day with the kids to watch the NH Fisher Cats play a game. (Please note: this event is family friendly and all ages are welcome, so if the kids are in tow, then you're still in for an evening of fun.)

JUNE 14-16: 18th ANNUAL MASTER SAND SCULPTING COMPETITION IN HAMPTON

More than 200 tons of imported sand will be dropped off at Hampton Beach for world master sand sculptors to work their sand castle magic. If you can't make it June 14-16 to watch as the master pieces are constructed, then don't worry. You can see the works of art on display (they're even illuminated at night) through June 27.

JUNE 15-17: ROCK N' RIBEST IN MERRIMACK

Held annually at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack, the whole family can enjoy a day of delicious barbecue, music, bounce houses, rock climbing wall and other kids activities. If dad loves live music, a rack of ribs and beer, then this is where you should bring him for Father's Day.

JUNE 17: FATHER'S DAY

If dad loves adventure and the great outdoors, then check out these local attractions who are offering free admission for dads on Father's Day: Canobie Lake Park, Lost River, Conway Scenic Railroad, Water Country, Mount Washington Resort and many more. Dads (or granddads) will receive free admission when a child's ticket is purchased.

JUNE 26-27: "FOOTLOOSE THE MUSICAL" IN MANCHESTER
